NOVACOL - A New Generation of Hot Melt Adhesives for The Packaging Industry
Based on unique patent pending technology, NOVACOL 90 is pushing the boundaries of improvements in safety and working environment, without compromising on bonding performance and pack integrity.
Ideally suited for the frozen food, chilled and dairy food industry, NOVACOL 90 is a pastillated hot melt applied at only 90°C!
KEY BENEFITS
Reduced energy use for heating the glue to running temperatures.
Measurements carried out in a production process showed that NOVACOL 90 requires 3.5 times less energy from the hot melt unit, all along the production cycle. This can produced considerable savings on a multi-line plants.

Reduced Maintenance At 90°C, NOVACOL 90 has no opportunity to form char that would block or damage nozzles, filters, guns and hoses. This significantly reduces expenditure on spare parts. And, there will be reduced downtime from maintenance or char related stoppages and increased line efficiency. |

Significant Improvements in Safety
The severity of a burn depends on length of time that the area is held above the burn temperature. For example, 1 gramme of a traditional hot melt will require 18 seconds to cool down below 80°C, and will still be burning during that time. Applied at 90 °C, NOVACOL 90 will significantly reduce the occurrence of severe burns, providing normal safety procedures are followed. This is a real step forward for operators’ safety.
Designed for the Frozen, Chilled, Dairy Food and Chocolate Industries
NOVACOL 90 to an ideal solution for the packaging of frozen, chilled, dairy food and chocolate products. The excellent adhesion properties on a wide range of boards* and the clean running performance maximise pack and production performance. The very low level of volatiles emitted due to the extremely low running temperature, makes NOVACOL 90 perfectly suited to these industry.
